WELCOME
Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of our Dual Language Academy (DLAMP) community. We encourage you to gather as much information as possible about our school by visiting our website, attending our orientation meetings, and talking with current DLAMP families before choosing to apply and enroll your child. STUDENT LOTTERY
Once enrolled, DLAMP students receive guaranteed placement in subsequent years. Because the combination of continuing students and applicants exceeds capacity each year, we will fill available spaces through a public random drawing (i.e. lottery). We include all applications received during the published application window in the ensuing lottery without consideration for the order received. Each applicant included in the lottery receives placement in the school at the appropriate grade level or a numbered position on our waiting list for that grade level. We have one application window and lottery each year for TK-8th grades. Applications are posted on our admissions page between December and January of each academic school year. We do not process applications received later than the published closing date.

TK & KINDERGARTEN: GENERAL INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS :
The 90/10 Two-Way Immersion instructional model at The Dual Language Academy of the Monterey Peninsula has an enrollment policy to ensure linguistically balanced classes of English speaking students, Spanish speaking students, and bilingual students . This allows students to model and support language development for one another.
The Dual Language Academy will admit new students for the 2025-2026 based on a public lottery. A limited number of spaces are available. The names of all students who apply during the published application period will be included in the lottery drawing. There will be an equal number of openings for English/Spanish/Bilingual students. One lottery will be held for each dominant language group.
Following the lottery, school staff will contact families who have been selected to offer placement in our program and complete registration via contact information you provide on this application. If there are more students requesting enrollment than there is space available, those remaining names will remain in order on a waitlist. The waitlist expires at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
TK Y KINDERGARTEN: INFORMACIÓN GENERAL PARA SOLICITANTES
El modelo de instrucción de inmersión bidireccional 90/10 en la Academia de Doble Inmersión de la Península de Monterey tiene una política de inscripción para asegurar clases lingüísticamente equilibradas de estudiantes que hablan inglés, estudiantes que hablan español y estudiantes bilingües. Esto permite a los estudiantes modelar los idiomas entre sí.
La Academia de Doble Inmersión ofrecerá admisión a estudiantes nuevos para el año escolar 2025-2026 basado en un sorteo público. Hay un número limitado de espacios disponibles. Los nombres de todos los estudiantes que soliciten plaza durante el periodo de solicitud publicado se incluirán en el sorteo. 1ST-8TH GRADE: GENERAL INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS:
The Dual Language Academy will admit new students 1st-8th grades for the 2025-2026 school year based on a public lottery. Please note a limited number of spaces are available. All names not selected will be placed on the waitlist according to the lottery selection. The waitlist expires at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
Following the lottery, school staff will contact families who have been selected and offer an entrance exam via contact information you provide on this application. PLEASE NOTE: Students will need to pass an entrance exam in Spanish to ensure that their language proficiency will enable them to be successful in the program.
