The Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program provides a fresh fruit or vegetable snack to all students in participating elementary schools. The goal of this program is to increase the variety of fruits and vegetables children consume, create healthier school food environments, and positively impact the nutrition of not only the students but their families.

The program also supports our Farmer's Markets on campus, where students shop at their own local, seasonal Farmer's Market! During the Markets, a local farmer provides nutrition education around farming, local produce, and the importance of seasonality to taste, cost, and farming. After hearing from the farmer, the market opens for students to select seasonal, fresh produce with school bucks, which encourages an awareness of cost and finances. The farmer will be providing the "school bucks" for this activity.
